We walked the riverwalk in the early morning and evening, walked in the rain on Jonker Street, stood in Dutch Square trying to figure out which direction to go, climbed Bukit St Paul in the middle of the day (not our finest decision), found a cafe that made us slow down properly, and fought the heat and humidity with a coconut shake that was, genuinely, one of the better ideas we had on this trip.
